Welcome to the Saudi Network Information Center (SaudiNIC) website. SaudiNIC is a non-profit entity that is in charge of administering the domain name space under (.sa) , it is operated by  Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) since the end of 2006 .

Saudi Arabia Internationalized Domain Name Pass Key Approval Milestone

ICANN approved Saudi Arabia as one of the first four internationalized top-level domain names.
the national (IDN ccTLD) that represents Saudi Arabia ( السعودية. ) have passed the language character (string) evaluation,
intended to avoid confusion with other top level domain names.
Saudi Arabia can now request that ( السعودية. ) be included in the Internet domain names root system, so they can be accessed by all users globally by mid-2010.
This will allow people to type entire domain names in their own language. This marks a pivotal moment in the history of Internet domain names.
